Analysis of the movie
The film is the third collaboration between Jayam Ravi and director Lakshman after Romeo Juliet and Bogan and this is also Jayam Ravi’s 25th movie and the trailer of this movie created buzz and curiosity for this movie.
Director Lakshman has done a great job with the in-depth research for this movie and he must be appreciated for thinking about making a movie with a subject like this.
This movie has rich production value and movie looks good.
Jayam Ravi has played this role convincingly and it is cake walk role for him and he has acted well.
Nidhhi Agerwal appears only for 15 minutes in this movie and does not have any significance in this movie.
Dudley has handled cinematography for this movie and cinematography is brilliant, lighting and angles are perfect.
D Imman’s Thamizhan Endru Sollada and Vande Mataram songs are good, however background score could have been much better.
The main issue with this movie is lazy writing, as the story is not something new and we have seen many movies with the same subject in Tamil itself which is much better than this.
The idea is good but execution is completely messed up as the entire movie looks like documentary feel where Jayam Ravi looks like a college professor who is taking a class for students on social issues and it does not create any impact and there is no connect with the protagonist as screenplay and story is poorly written.
The movie looks like half baked attempt and director could have spent more time in writing the script and could have executed this in a better way as the actors in the movie like Thambi Ramiah, Radha Ravi, Saranya Ponvannan, Sathish and John Vijay are completely wasted and they do not have depth in their characterization.
There is no entertainment in this movie and it is full of social messages , scene after scene.
Protagonist Ronit Roy plays the usual corporate villain role in this movie and this role is so predictable and it is weakly written.
Director Lakshman could not make justice to the plot of the movie by making this as commercially viable movie.
The makers have taken a good decision by releasing this movie on OTT as this movie is definitely not worth the risk of watching in a theater during this pandemic.
Verdict- A poorly made movie not worth watching…
My Rating is 2/5
